High fashion meets low-tech on this Italian toaster created in 1997 for Trabo by Gae Aulenti, the architect who designed the Musée d’Orsay in Paris. Until a couple of 12 months in the past it was bought solely in Europe; now it’s obtainable in the United States. Its smooth simplicity might make it the delight of the kitchen counter. It handles two slices, however not a thick bagel. Wire racks are included, to carry the bread (or a sandwich wrapped in parchment paper).
