  2. Michelle I want to thank you for using your platform well. You are such a role model. <3 would you consider collaborating with safiya on another project that brings awareness?

  3. Great job on committing to this challenge! While I totally agree that we each need to be making better choices, I also want to lift up that our individual choices aren’t enough to save our poor planet. We need to also do more to hold corporations accountable which are responsible for the vast majority of pollution and waste. We need to push for policies that create huge changes like banning plastics in cities, or making it more costly for corporations to pollute to actually force them to change practices.

I’d love to see a challenge where you join community efforts to push for a policy change at the local level or even try to start change in your local stores. Maybe having a petition for your local stores to have a reusable bag campaign where they encourage shoppers to purchase those reusable produce bags or they have more signage around them. I think we can accomplish so much more when we do things in community!

  4. For reusable jars (mason jars, etc) you can weigh the jars at the registry/cashier before putting in produce. ???

  6. It really shouldn’t be this hard. Dont knw why it isn’t encouraged more by govt or companies.Companies would also benefit not having to pay for packaging. And stores should give ppl some discount, no matter how small for being responsible citizens.

  7. Liked the vid, I mean I like ALL of Michelle's vids. But, why didn't she just go to the front and tell them so they could weigh the jar BEFORE she put the food in it? That way you only have to subtract the weight of the jar from the cost.

  8. I don't believe in being vegan and vegetarian and all that… A bit off topic but this seems like a life I could try to live. Nice done. And starbucks actually gives discounts for having your own containers amd cups ?

  9. Way to go Michelle! , I've been trying to live and produce less waste for a little while now but it adds up so fast and we are so used to getting rid of our rubbish instantly that it's out of sight and out of mind but when you start to keep it for even a day you start to realise what you accumulate. What a great video 🙂

  10. Thank you for making this video!??? Being prepared is the key. Using reusable bags instead of mason jars can ease up the check out process. 🙂 Also having the codes of your items ready for the cashier is extremely helpful to them!
